Biography

Omar is one of the most accomplished young lawyers in the country.

In under four years since starting Qureshi Law, Omar has won tens of millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements for his clients. Recently, Omar was the lead trial attorney in a case in which he won a jury verdict of $45 million on behalf of two young students with autism who were abused by a school employee.

Omar has represented the families of people wrongfully killed; children who were physically and emotionally abused by school district employees; people wrongfully terminated from their jobs because of their sex, race, and religion; and individuals who have been catastrophically hurt by negligent corporations, government employees, and individuals. In 2020, Omar won two trials in which he represented special needs students who were physically attacked by school employees. In 2022 and 2024, Omar won appeals before the California Court of Appeal protecting people’s rights to access trial courts, rather than be bound by arbitration clauses.

Previously, Omar worked at Bridgewater Associates, the world’s largest hedge fund. He then worked at Jenner & Block as a lawyer representing companies in class action and antitrust lawsuits. Omar also represented companies in nationwide multi-district litigation.

Omar is an award winning comedian and storyteller. He tours the country performing stand up comedy. He won the Moth GrandSlam Championship, which is the top storytelling award from the top storytelling organization in the country. He has been featured on NPR and the Sundance Film Festival.

He is originally from Monett, Missouri and spends as much time there as he can. Omar is licensed in California and Missouri.
